Drama-in-Education English Alliance

SCOLAR launched the Drama-in-Education English Alliance in the 2008/09 school year to assist primary schools to promote English drama as a means to arouse students' interest in English language learning and to improve their English language skills. Teacher development courses were arranged for teachers of the Alliance's Member Schools. On-site professional support by drama experts was also provided to help the teachers plan, prepare and implement drama-related activities in English language teaching. Students of the Member Schools are expected to have many opportunities to participate and experience various drama-related activities, such as reading playscripts, adapting, rewriting or creating playscripts, voice projection, movement, dramatisation, producing and performing a play.
