Skipping Rhymes – Jumping Jive (2005-2006)

The English Festival organised by SCOLAR in 2005 staged the first-of-its-kind "Skipping Rhymes – Jumping Jive" competition which requested students to recite English rhymes while skipping ropes. Over 200 Primary 3 to Primary 5 students participated in the competition. They were required to skip with at least one original English rhyme created by themselves.

After the competition, these original rhymes were compiled, with elaborations by Mr Simon Tham, Chief Curriculum Development Officer (Native-speaking English Teacher) of the Education Bureau, for publication in the Sing Tao Daily between 10 October 2005 and 19 June 2006.
